The address is [email protected]. It is the only way to reach the editors.

Write to us with corrections, questions about something we have published, or a pitch. If you are pitching, please read the guidelines first.

If an animal is in trouble now

We cannot send help, and email is too slow. Please contact a rescue line:

  • Seabirds and other wild birds: RSPCA 0300 1234 999 (England and Wales), Scottish SPCA 03000 999 999, USPCA 028 3025 1000.
  • Seals, dolphins and whales: British Divers Marine Life Rescue 01825 765546.
  • Dead wild birds: Defra 03459 33 55 77 (England, Scotland and Wales).

Our note on injured and dead seabirds has more detail. Those are their numbers, not ours, and they can change, so check the organisation's own website if a call does not connect.
